One of the greatest ways to help a child is to provide a role model that can help them achieve their potential.  The Young Professionals Committee is setup to help in this effort by raising funds to support mentoring and by encouraging others to become mentors.  

Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County has a goal to mentor more than 1,600 in 2008 and your contributions can help us achieve this goal.  Having a Big mentor can have a signficant positive impact on a child.  In fact, 90% of children with a Big report improvements in their self-confidence, 52% are more likely to improve their school attendance or participation, and 46% are less likely to begin using drugs.
